Kia India has reported a significant milestone for the Kia Seltos, with cumulative sales in the Indian market crossing 6 lakh units. Since its launch in August 2019 as the brand’s debut product in the country, the Seltos has remained a consistent volume driver in the mid-size SUV category.
The model had previously reached the 5 lakh mark in mid-2023, and the subsequent growth highlights steady demand despite increasing competition in the segment.
According to the company, nearly one-third of buyers continue to opt for higher-end variants, signalling a growing inclination toward advanced safety systems, in-cabin technology, and comfort-focused features. At the same time, entry and mid-level trims continue to attract a stable share of customers, pointing to a well-balanced variant strategy.
The latest Seltos, introduced earlier this year, reflects a modern evolution in both design and engineering. Drawing visual cues from Kia’s global SUV lineup, the updated model adopts a more assertive exterior while benefiting from a revised platform that allows for improved proportions and cabin space.
Feature upgrades play a key role with the top trims offer elements such as a powered driver’s seat with memory, head-up display, ambient lighting with multiple colour options, and a dedicated seat relaxation function.
Across the lineup, the integration of a large-format touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity enhances usability, while additions like ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, full-LED lighting, cruise control, and Level 2 ADAS strengthen its premium appeal.
Under the hood, the Seltos continues to provide multiple powertrain choices to suit varied driving preferences. Buyers can choose between a naturally aspirated petrol engine, a more performance-oriented turbo-petrol unit, and a diesel option, each paired with a range of transmission systems including manual and automatic configurations.
